What kind of the above do you prefer following closest?
Games that can combine all the above = ) A good example of this would be Shadowrun because it blends together cutting edge science with computer references and a close following of books written by William Gibson.

What kind of games do you play most often?

    Simple Board Games - Monopoly

Computer Games (Strategy, Worldbuilding/Age of Empires, Minecraft)

    Yes.

What is your favorite game of all time?
    Warcraft II

    Why?
It was the first game that I felt I truly enjoyed and could be good at. It remains one of the few games I've beaten over the years without using cheats.

How would you describe a truly excellent game?
Replayability and Content Oriented - I love games that you can play over and over again and never get bored. Coincidentally these games often have great stories, and part of the reason to replay is because you become attached to the characters and enjoy seeing how their stories play out. It's hard for me to get behind a story if I can't get emotionally involved in that story. Not to say that there isn't a time and place for brainless shoot em ups = )

What makes for a rewarding game experience?
Not feeling let down after beating a game. I think a big problem these days is paying money for a new game but only getting 5-6 hours of gameplay in return (think Portal 2). It's probably one of the reasons there are so many "unbeatable" games out there like Minecraft. When I finish a game, I want to be thinking about how awesome and epic that experience was, and not how much money I wasted by purchasing that game.

What kind of stakes do you like to play for?
Just for the sake of friendly competition.
    Life or Death

Really depends on the game. I have harmless innocent fun with some games (Game Dev Story), and other games I get really serious about (WoW on occasion).
